Dear Liam, I hope all is well in Lunenburg. Mom told me you've just finished building a new boat for the museum. You must be so proud. Grandpa would have loved that you're carrying on his trade. I'm writing because I've started researching our family history. It began as a small project to help with my daughter's school assignment, but I've completely fallen in love with it. So far, I've traced Dad's side of the family back to 1842, when our great-great-great-grandfather, Patrick O'Neill, arrived in Halifax from Ireland. He was a fisherman, and according to the records, he married a woman from Lunenburg named Anna Kaulbach. The trouble is that I've hit a wall. There's very little information online about Anna's family, and the records I need are kept at the Nova Scotia Archives in Halifax, which only allows researchers to view them in person. I'm planning to fly out in July to spend a few days there. While I'm out east, I'd also love to see Grandma and Grandpa's old house on King Street. I know it belongs to another family now, but I was hoping to at least see it from the outside. Do you still have the box of old letters and photos that Grandma left you? I'd love to look through them, if you don't mind. They might help fill in some of the gaps. Would it be all right if I stayed with you for two or three nights after my time in Halifax? I'll rent a car, so you won't need to drive me anywhere. Love, Bridget

Dear Bridget, Thanks for your kind words about the 7. It was a lot of work, but I think Grandpa would approve. Your research sounds fascinating. I had no idea that part of our family came from 8. Of course you can stay with us after your days at the 9. We have plenty of room. I still have 10. Grandma left me, and I'll get it down from the attic before you come. The family who owns the house now is very friendly. If I ask them, they might even let you 11. Love, Liam
